We finally have Roll Racing on the East Coast! The list of cars looks solid, everything from Supercharged M3 to Lamborghini Super Trofeo to twin turbo Audi R8.

I haven't decided if ill be racing this time around. Hopefully my car will be sold soon, so I'll likely just go watch the races.

You should definitely come out, it'll round out that list of supercharged E9X's! It's a great way to really see what your car can do in a safe environment.

The roll race portion is a blast and really is almost no wear on your car, as opposed to drag racing. It's a blast and you'll notice yourself getting better throughout the day.

This pretty much shows how a roll would work. The effective racing distance (from start to finish, not including acceleration/deceleration areas) is 1500'. This is the same as what other events on the west coast use as well. They've turned it down from a true '1/2 mile' for safety reasons (including the accel/decel areas you'd be closer to 1/2 mile).

Nothing to it, roll up to 40-50mph, and nail it at the cones. We are hoping to have some ESS cars there. If you can make it you should really try to make it.

Here is the new signup updated list. There are limited spaces remaining for both spectator and racer registration.

To clarify some questions, the effective racing area is 1500' from start cone to end cone, which is what some of the other "1/2 mile" events provide for effective racing area. MIR is eager to take on roll-racing and they've been working with us to build the ideal layout. This allows for ~500' of acceleration area, 1500' of WOT racing, and nearly an equivalent distance for cool down without heavy braking.

We feel that this is the safest layout while still allowing for some upper 1XX MPH speeds. We've already tested our timing system at MIR and we'll be the first to offer digital speed readouts and race results to those watching.

So this is a normal length drag strip?
Might be worth approaching my local strip to see if they would allow something like this.

Thats 4/5 E9x S/C kits: 2 are DCT, 2 are 6SPD, I guess thats the best we can do, but man, this is going to be good! Add the boosted E46 cars and then the AMG and Audi cars, everyone will know what the best of the best German cars will be.
