If you really want to tune out try Bose's Quietcomfort HP's. I put those on and all my problems fade away.

Sorry to show up and be the audiophile ahole, but Bose is so painfully over-rated IMO. For the price Shure makes much, much better products. But I digress….It was 13 deg this morning when I left for work, my car was not a happy camper on cold start. Turbo cars are so damn lazy when it's very cold out ugh.

Any New Yorkers? or people that travel there often? I have a two week trip in May to the east coast (Business/Pleasure) I'll be spending a week in DC (Business) and want to jump up to NY(Pleasure) And I need some recommendations of hotels to stay and which areas. I would like to do all the touristy stuff

Mr Retep, there are so many different hotels. Find one with the highest rating for the lowest price. Unfortunately low price and NYC don't go together. You'll probably want to stay around mid-town (that's where Times Square and Rockefeller Center is located) or if you're adventurous SoHo has some nice old hotels if you're a non-mainstream kind of guy. There's good prices for hotels in financial district on the weekends (because all the business travelers leave the city on weekends) but the financial district is away from nightly activity (but nothing really a 10 minute cab ride or subway can't solve).

This is just me, but I would take just about anything in the Shure lineup over Bose, the price point wouldn't really matter that much. Personally I own a pair of now discontinued SE420 earbuds, and they're pretty tremendous. Shure is always a bit light on bass, but I don't mind that. Bose to me sounds muddy, not enough clarity up top. Of course this is all moot if the music isn't lossless quality, I always lol when people spend huge sums of money on speakers and headsets only to play low quality MP3s through them
