Color us unsurprised. At the M Night last Thursday, BMW pulled the wraps off the
M3 CRT (Carbon Racing Technology). As we reported, it's the most focused E90 M3 version yet, making use of innovative carbon fiber production technology. Powered by a 450hp 4.4L version of the award winning S65 V8 engine and exclusively painted in Frozen Polar Silver, production of the M3 CRT is limited to only 67 units.
Well, it now appears that 67 people were willing to spend at least EUR 130,000 for this car.
Autobild reports that the M3 CRT has supposedly already completely sold out, within 2-3 days of its unveil.
BMW M3 special editions have a history of selling out very soon after their initial release. The recently announced US-market Frozen Black M3 sold out in just
22 minutes.
The silver lining if you're now disappointed that you won't get one -- the M3 CRT's technology is a sign of things to come for future M3 models.
