If I wasn't going to get the honeycomb spokes, the 897 was my 2nd choice -- so it appears we have similar tastes.
Regarding lip depth. I spoke with HRE about this. They said lip depth was a function of the application (wheel offset), but not the design. For example, if I were to order the 540, C20, C90, or 890 -- they would all have the same lip depth. Their web site creates the illusion that the different wheels have different lip depths because the pictures they show of the wheels are from differing applications. So the pictures are kind of apples-to-oranges comparison. At least, that's what they told me...

Got it, it makes sense! I was also perhaps a bit misled because in the 890 series it says "deep dish design" as one of its attributes and does not say this in the 540 series. Oh well!! Go figure!! Do you have any idea how much these thing weigh?
