I was told the black textured material around the shifter area on top of the console IS leather (standard on all Epx M3s).
It might be, but the top of the console is the same whether you have standard or extended leather. The black textured material on top of the DASH, however, is not leather (again, regardless of whether you have regular or extended leather) and that same material is used on the sides of the console in cars with regular leather.
