What's the difference between US and non-US(europe) version of e92 M3?

Since there's two version(US and nonUS) of e9x M3 in 2008, 2009, I was wondering how do I differentiate those two?

Is there any clue? I have to order k&n airfilter but dunno if mine needs E-1994 or E-2994..

Any comments..??

You mean other than what market your car was built for? How do you not know whether your car was built for the US market or not? Unless you imported your car from the US (in which case I assume you'd know that), it's a safe bet that you don't have a US car. But if you're really worried about it, try emailing K&N to ask them what to check to determine which filter you should buy.

As for things to look for on a US-spec car, I know that here in the US we have cupholders and amber reflectors on the sides of the front bumper -- but I'm not sure if we're the ONLY country that gets those.

Yes, I've changed my filter to E-2994 but coudn't get rid of E-1994 since the owner's in South Korea doesn't know exactly if it's US or non-US version.. Actually there are some US and non-US version mixed up in the early 2008 and 2009's..

So there are several differences between US and non-US.. is there any other way to confirm, like serial number or something..?

Not necessarily true....having been stationed in Korea...they also drive on the same side as us....so their steering wheel shoud be the same side as us...for Euro vs US differences....if the car had PDC....they have PDC sensors in the front and back...US only has back...seat bolsters are higher and thinner in Euro version...Euro version also does not have orange reflectors on the bumper, Euro version has a rear fog light enabling swtich standard, dynamic brake force display is also standard (euro version), side mirrors are also asypherical (euro version), ummmmm....windshield class is also a different material (euro version)...hard to really differenciate unless you know what to look for...thats all I can think of so far
