so i got myself a set of 18" TE37SL (pressed graphite) wrapped with Michelin Pilot Super Sports 265/35/18 and 285/35/18 for track use. I decided to go with the PSS cos the track is a 3 hr drive away and I don't wanna lug up semi slicks or make the drive in semi slicks. This way I can still have fun if it rains (it rains here a lot).

IMG_3426 by guytan13, on Flickr

Of course, once my LM-Rs were off I started looking at my rusty hubs and decided to do something about them.

IMG_3433 by guytan13, on Flickr

Bought this wire brush attachment for my dremel and went to work

After scrubbing off most of the loose rust

IMG_3434 by guytan13, on Flickr

sprayed a couple coats of anti corrosion paint (primer grey colour)

IMG_3435 by guytan13, on Flickr

this is what it looks like with the wheel attached

IMG_3436 by guytan13, on Flickr

After I did this one hub, i didn't really like the grey colour on the inner hub, so I mounted the next wheel on after removing the rust but without spraying

IMG_3437 by guytan13, on Flickr

Looks better!

However, TODAY after a day of rain all 3 hubs without the paint have started rusting again! Im gonna get some anti corrosion spray in flat black and hope that works out better aesthetically.

enjoy some bad iPhone pics after the rain!

I'm leaving the rear height as in but gonna lower the fronts just a touch more.

no rubbing whatsoever with these wheel and tire specs.

fitted a Bride Zeta III Type L today, excuse the pics, by the time i finished messing around with it, it's dark out.

Untitled by guytan13, on Flickr

Untitled by guytan13, on Flickr

fitted using the following hardware:

Macht Schnell - E9x Competition Liteweight Mounts for Race Seats
http://www.gtmotoring.com/product_in...roducts_id=685

Recaro - Slider Track Kit Inside Bar
http://www.gtmotoring.com/product_in...roducts_id=690

Recaro - Bucket Seat, Side Mount, Black Steel FIA
http://www.gtmotoring.com/product_in...roducts_id=691

Macht Schnell - Seatbelt Receptacle/Harness Mount
http://www.gtmotoring.com/product_in...oducts_id=1692

I know it's looking a mess right now with the RECARO and MACHT SCHNELL logos. I've got a full BRIDE mounting kit on order.

Unfortunately I assumed the hardware I ordered would fit the BRIDE seat but it doesn't. They were made to fit the RECARO POLE POSITION seat which is a fair bit wider than the BRIDE (430mm vs 395mm). I was unable to fit the RECARO slider as the bar in the middle which you use to slide back and forth was loo long. For the time being I mounted the seat in a fixed position until the proper BRIDE hardware arrives.

Don't think there is any functional reason for the passenger seat to be a full bucket. I never carry any passengers on the track.

BMW performance seats are nice but nowhere near as secure as these seats.

Also I will not be leaving these in permanently on a daily basis as they are a huge pain in the ass to get in and out of. I've got 2 track days this weekend and next. Will be putting the stock seat back after that until the next day

Awesome set up

Are you needing to recode when you put the stock front driver seat back in?

No I don't recode anything. I just live with the SRS WARNING when the bucket seat is in. It's doesnt affect anything just a little logo of an airbag on the dash. Similar to before I got my EDC coded out.

Thanks all!

Some pics from last weekend's ZEROTOHUNDRED'S TIMETOATTACK 2013 - ROUND 1 at Sepang International Circuit.

Managed 3rd place in GT cars category.

Love the car and your mod's. Get some LCI tails on there and make it look brand new. can't express how much better and updated it makes the car look.

nope didn't find anyone who could get the pads on time so I just used the stock brembo pads for the event.

got a set of Endless pads on order now. won't be hitting the track till July probably

Edit:

Endless pads arrived but will have to wait for my new rotor rings before I try em out.

Decided to go for track day this weekend on stock calipers (see below post)

Front drilled rotors have started cracking from the track sessions. Decided to play safe and take em off while waiting for replacement slotted rotor rings.

Stock brakes back on for now with pagid yellows, steel hoses and castrol SRF. lets see how they perform on the track this weekend.

*note. Anyone thinking of trying pagid yellow on stock calipers beware. These are noisy as fk on the street. I've only had them installed today and already I can't stand the noise. I've heard it's not as bad on multi piston calipers like stoptech or brembos.
