F10 M5 Shift Knob = Lighted ZHP Knob?
I noticed the F10 M5 shift knob lights up and it looks like the ZHP knob.
Could it be the solution we've all been waiting for? Has anyone tried it? |

I am one of many that thinks that ZHP knob looks horrible. I would never put that one in my M or BMW vehicles. Looks cheap and it is.

You can't deny that it's a step up from the OEM M3 shift knob - Same leather quality with metal / weighted construction. OEM is lightweight plastic / rubber internal construction. I know because I have disassembled the OEM knob...

Very true. When I made mine, you could see that it was just all plastic. Felt terrible. I am more than happy with my lighted ZHP.

For those worried about the connector, swapping the pin connectors should be a simple switchover between the two, if they're not already an exact match. As isugoo said, the boot will need to be cut off or attached to the M3 boot-ring.
