no offense taken. i just didn't understand why there were so many updates on this post when we all know that Schroth wasn't coming out with an E92 specific harness. lol the new M3 is already coming out, that harness may come out before the e92's ever does. How do you like the rally 4's?

They work great. Only bad thing is you have to leave them in the car. Not a big deal though and very worth that minor inconvenience.

on the street you use the regular seat belt, is it annoying to have the harness on the seat still?

You can wrap the lap belt around the back of the seat, and hook to the shoulder straps with a short bungee cord.

I've now used the Quick-fit Pro for the last few days on the street. There are ways to get the lap belt tighter including raising the seat, I will just have to see what my headroom is like with a helmet.
Belt use is great, easy in and easy out. Convenience factor of being able to remove the belts in seconds is huge and the residual belt hook-ups are of no consequence and don't interfere with anything. So far so good, Road Atlanta test this coming weekend. |

Used it at Lime Rock Park yesterday, and it worked quite well. Definitely kept me more secure in the seat. I agree that the lap belt needs to have more available adjustment to make it a bit tighter without riding up. The HANS takes a little getting used to--it's almost like being a horse with blinders on. You really have to rely on your mirrors, and be aware of traffic coming off the track when you are entering the hot pits from the paddock. Now I know why people back into their parking spots in the paddock--once you have your helmet and HANS on with the harnesses secured, getting prepared for a run, you can't look over your shoulder to back out of your spot.

I changed the outside mount from the seat to the seat belt slider. Still fits well. I agree with the issues about riding up your lap, not sure if it can be corrected but I'll play around and see of better fitment can be had.

Are you suggesting I drive like a girl? is anyone using the rods that go thru the strap ends to pull the belt tighter?

I don't think they are necessary unless you lack thumbs. I don't have the bars on my ralleye 4 and I can get the harness tight. I do have to tighten the lap belt down with the door open.

I have the "adjusting grips" or dowels on mine--both for shoulder and lap belts. They do help you snug the belts down, but the issue is that unless you're a 36+ waist, or have a JLo-sized booty to push you out of the seat, the lap belts don't fully tighten around you at the low waist level. As VictorH reports above, the lap belts can only be tightened so much until they run out of adjustability. The final tightening occurs as the shoulder belts get tightened and the center lock gets pulled upwards a bit.
