I'm still stuck processing on the fact that folks actually find the sedan better looking.

I see the quarter annual "coupe vs sedan" thread is back in full swing. Can I expect the thread to come back say mid Jan or Feb for the next shipment and noobs? How about another 18" vs 19" wheels thread. No wait, there it is already...

My seat is likely far more upright than a lot of you folks (I didn't even recline like that when I was a youngster) as I don't have any issue with the B pillar.
I recline the seat a bit but not that much, just enough for the reach to the steering wheel to feel right. I am quite tall and by the time I move the seat rack back far enough in a 3 series sedan to be comfortable with pedal operation the B-pillar comes well into my peripheral vision and when I turn my head left I'm looking right at it. I am not slouched down at all. I have barely 2 fingers clearance over my head. There's no way I fit in a 335 coupe with a sunroof.

If you are tall it is also far easier to get into and out of the coupe.

Performance, no. No difference really.

Looks, yes. The coupe looks better, to me anyway.

For some reason, when I see an E90 M3, I think of a 3 series. The sides and the rear just look too much like a 3 series to me. For some reason the E92 M3 really stands different from the regular 3. If I am driving and I see one I always say, "Man, was that another M3? I'm not sure." Of course if I get a better look I know right away, but on first glance it's hard to determine.

When I see a M3 coupe I KNOW it's a M3 vs. just another 3 series.

Ya know, the sedan is less comfortable to me as well. There is more room to get in and out and I don't bump into the B pillar. More room in the front seat area too. But other than that, it seems the same.

Carbon Fiber Roof Nuff said! And to throw more fuel on the fire and more salt on the wounds. What model do you mainly see in each and every advertisement and or media? From movies,tv shows,, video games , brochures , billboards, magazines to tv commercials?

j/k It's you're hard earned bucks and you're the one who has to drive and live with it. The performance is negligible to your everyday Joe schmoe. So get what YOU want and don't let anyone else tell you different as underneath the classic, sexy, beauty of the coupe's shell it's pretty much the same underneath...Sorry couldn't resist

I am only 6' tall so i fit fine in the sedan. The back is a bit tough to get in and out of, but i don't ever plan on being back there. If you are really tall you have an argument against the B pillar.

Happy motoring.

I was checking out the sedan and coupe M3 and also noticed that the sedan has four doors. Does anyone know if this is always the case for the E9x series?

I think the E90 looks better by proportion and of course has a lot more to offer in terms of practicality. BUT before you think me a fanboy of the E90, I do feel as if the cabin feel is obstructed by the B-pillar and that I'm driving with a large ass lagging behind me instead of feeling in the center of the ride.

I also chose the DCT and regret it, but that is another story...
