Went to Active Autowerke and got the Cat-back today! Did before and after Dyno pulls.
Finally made a decision and had my AA Cat-back installed today. After 25 miles so far, I love the new growl of my car! Since I'm starting from scratch(kinda, put the AA Air Filter on after 120 miles), I did a baseline dyno pull on their Mustang Dyno. I'll post the Dyno sheets on Monday due to a printer error. Before the install, it made 334.2 HP and after it made 347.5 HP(give or take a tenth or 2). This gain is right where they estimate it should be, they quote between 12-15 hp gain.Torque gains were good but, don't remember the exact numbers. Butt Dyno says more powerfull from mid-range to 8K.
On another note, It's great to be able to go to the manufacturer and have them install their parts on your car. Everyone at AA is Fantastic! When they put the car up on the lift, my installer noticed I had a very slight diff fluid leak and immediately showed to me and the other guys. They asked me if I still wanted to install the exhaust before I take it to the dealer? I only have 3300 miles on the car and had the 1200 service done @ 1700 miles. They checked the drail bolts and they were not completely tight, tightened them up. After the install and they did the after dyno pulls, they lifted the car again to check the diff, no leak!. Omar told me to stop by on Monday and they'll put it on the lift to double check to make sure no more leak. I'm very happy to be a part of the AA family, great shop, people, and products! Just my $.02. Their HFC X-Pipe is next on the agenda. |

So you are saying that you got 13 whp from just the muffler? Seems high...

No BS, I'll post the dyno sheet on Monday, If I didn't see it, I wouldn't have believed it myself. We did 5 before pulls( 3 accurate and 2 with spikes) and 5 after pulls(4 accurate and one spiked). The engine made more power on the 3rd run both times, it needs a little temp to get the best result.

Thanks Nawaaz, I thought I said goodbye to mod bug after 2 trashed trannys, a turbo and a diff on my WRX. I guess it never gets out of your blood!

My Evo's 6 speed tranny was going bad, and I still couldn't get over modding when I got into my M3. Now, I'm finally starting to learn. I hope. |

I second the high level of service I received from these guys. Omar wants everything to be perfect and makes sure you are happy. Great customer service. Took the car out today for a nice drive along with my buddy's RS4. He couldnt believe the sounds my car makes. He has a GMG exhaust on his which sounds beautiful, but he was amazed how the AA HFC X-pipe and exhaust sound. I never heard it from the outside so I let him do some high-speed runs on a back road in my car while I stood and listened and all I can say is OMG. It is very raw and very loud. Sounds awesome. Amazingly, its quite tame in my opinion while you are in the car.

Those are some really nice gains, congrats. And the exhaust sounds really good too!
Sounds loud, but at idle I think? sounded relatively tame. Does it drone between 1,500-2,500 rpms? & and what are those two 'canister' like objects next to the mufflers? (pardon the ignorance) |

I absolutely love to have my wife take my M to publix, cuz i get to stand in the driveway and actually hear the amazing sound.
I must say it sounds soo much nicer when your not driving it but merely stand outside and hear it. Very unique and custom sound that signature system with x-pipe from AA
