My Brand New E92 M3 Edition!

Hey guys, finally the car arrived.... must say...its my first BMW let alone an "M"and i am Utterly happy!!!
So far, i have found nothing wrong with the car...then again...only driven it 45miles.....one thing i think may get to me is the thickness of the hand wheel...Subjectivly, i think its a little thick for relaxed driving, but probs fine when pushing hard. Hope you like it!!

Wow, Congrats.

Watch out for the curbs, I see a huge mark on the back right wheel already.

Awesome looking color combo.

Congrats on the new ride. I got mine in 2 weeks ago (SGray/Black Coupe) and have been out of the country for one of those weeks. 150 miles on the ODO makes 1200 seem very very far away.

Enjoy

Pat

Love the 'Edition' but I'm more interested in the Escort 1600 sport behind it, my first car was one of those and I loved it, though like so many younger members here it wasn't exactly stock. Not many 1600 sports could spin the rear wheels all the way through 2nd and a wee bit of 3rd....those were the days.

Anyway back to the M3. Got to drive one last week and I must say the improves though subtle do make for a better car.

i think that's just bad lighting in the picture, cause I don't see it in his other pictures...

anways, that's how all M3s should come, less chrome more gloss black!

Thanks for the nice replys.

I shit my self when someone mentioned the curbed wheel!! i had to go out and have a look, and yeah, luckily its just bad lighting!!!

Also, in the back ground is a my 1976 Mk2 Escort as someone mentioned. its far from stock...its somewhere around 145bhp at about 750kg. Great fun in the wet but not quite enough poke in the dry...The M3 covers that though!!

The only thing that is CFRP is the roof. All other parts that should be chrome/body coloured are Gloss black.

Nice car - I saw an 09 at the dealer down the road from me. I like the gloss black surrounds & gills. Wonder why they didn't make the rear badge gloss black as well?

Is the escort still a 1600 or has it been bored to 1760? Mine was bored out and estimated to be producing close on 190hp with a 8700rpm redline, back then we all though a live rear axle was the best thing ever.....ignorance was bliss.

I just think that's like 20-40% gloss, not full gloss?
