Might want to correct the thread title, it actually has 353k miles!

I'm tempted to bid on it...

For that kind of mileage the interior appears to be in good shape. Must be mainly highway miles. Average of 27K miles per year over 13 years. Probably running back and forth to Vegas. Valve covers appear to be in good shape. Watching it on eBay.... It could make a great track car or refurb project for someone.

If you could get it for super cheap, it could be fun to just see how far you could get it to go.

It might be worth paying for a CarFax type report just to see what type of maintenance the car has had. Whatever its maintenance schedule has been it must've been pretty good to make it 353,000 miles! Brakes, T.A.s, RBs, O2s, CATS all come to mind.

I doubt a 300+k miles car was serviced at a dealer.

Appears to be a one owner car who probably donated it for tax purposes.

I didn't catch the 1 owner caveat. Good catch. Well he/she must've taken very good care of it to drive it for 353,000 miles. That high of a mileage alone puts a whole new ceiling on the "High Mileage 08's Report In" thread....
.
https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682601
.
I guess where the car was serviced might depend somewhat on the owner(s) mechanical sympathy, aptitude, and financial situation. Especially if he/she gave it away for tax purposes. A little CarFax service data is better than no data, because it might show if the R.B.s have been changed. 160 people are currently "watching" the eBay auction. "Let the bidding commence".

Wouldn’t be surprised if these high mileage m3s become collectibles or some what of a niche market and shoot up in price just because 🤣;

Now it's already been bid up to $6100 - 43 bids by 16 bidders - with 2 days still left in the auction. Let's see now a 2009 E92 M3 with 350K miles on it has gotta' be worth at least $10K to $12K. What say the M3Post forum experts? How high might it go?

Would be cool if M359 buys it and does a series on it.

It has been serviced extensively and regularly at BMW up to 270K miles. Last service dated 06/2019. Carfax records stop after.

No mention of Rod bearing replacement. Service records don’t show any major problems. Mostly just maintenance.

Wow! Thanks so much for posting this information. I think we have a new winner in the "German S65 Rod Bearing Lottery" - as some members like to call it, and assuming the OEM rod bearings haven't been replaced. Amazing stuff if so. Perhaps it's some proof of my "mainly highway miles" i.e. a lifetime spent cruising assumption.

Wow, this is so much cooler than a car with 1000 miles on it. I love that someone got to enjoy that many miles in one of these cars.

With that kind of mileage it may be misfiring because of collapsed cats, hopefully if that was the case it wasnt driven too long like that and suffering from detonation.

I love the dings and dents too. It doesnt look abused, just well used like a 98 corolla with the same mileage. Surely this must be the highest mileage e9x m3 out there? I personally have not seen any other cars even CLOSE to 568,000km. I still have over 400,000km to go to catch up haha. What a testament to how well these cars were built. I dont daily drive my car year round or anything, but genuinely it has been the most problem free car I have owned and I have owned quite a few Japanese cars.

Great find, thanks for posting.
