Love that GTS. Original Fire Orange beast. Sucked that it never made it to the US, but I did get to experience it here:

My two favorite V8 engines of all time. So much respect for both of these cars, but I'd give up both of my pinky toes for that M3 GTS 😍

Sucks about the traction but a win is a win. This car will always be a classic. That magnificent V8 sound.

Love and respect both cars but 13.4/5 is utterly pathetic now that everything under the sun is sub 13 it seems!

That GTS should run mid 12s all day long if driven properly with good street tires. But it is no rocket ship compared to some of the current turbos. The driving experience on the other hand is where it's at.

Car and driver did it in under 12.5 if I remember. I'd go by them more than this.

A better driver would have less wheel spin. The M3gts would have clawed back from the deficit before the quarter mile. Even with the bad launch it almost caught the Audi and would have with a little bit more road. This is with a crappy launch. Still AWD is awesome. The GTS is worth about $200k today and there were only 2 sold in the UK. The owner is pretty generous to lend his wheels for this video!

Cool burnout bro. Mine did mid 12's bone stock in a regular e92 M3 with 414 hp. Launch control is useless unless on a prepped strip with sticky tires. The GTS with the 4,4 litre has more torque and more susceptible to initial wheel spin. Street start method: MDM ON, quick stab pedal to the floor without touching the detent/"kick down" and the car will take off with little to no wheel spin. Please try again.

Butthurt much? Why are you taking exception to his response? A mid 13 run in that car is a joke and the record needs to be set straight. I consider that video the same as Fake News. One could actually think that he was trying to appease both Audi & BMW fans by letting that dig race outcome occur.

I hate it when there is a race like this for example the launch of the BMW . Why can't they do another race to see if there will be different results? I'm sure they don't just go to the runway for one race. They are already there why not?
