No Lift Shift for 6MT

I am wondering is it possible to tune M3 with 6 speed manual transmission for no lift shift like new Camaros ,Corvettes ,Mustangs and some VW .It allows you to shift manual transmission with gas pedal to the floor and pressing clutch without hitting rev limiter.

I would think that if it could be done with the stock DME, that someone would have done it already.

It's been around for a while with stand-alone systems and exotics. It's also known as flat-shifting, power-shifting, or full throttle shifting. The only M3's Ive seen with it were usually SC or Turbo, and running stand-alone.

Tons of cars have that. I tuned the stock ecu on my 03 Evo and I had NLTS. (No lift to shift) I don't have any info on m3's having this just sharing that it's old technology that should be able to be programmed into an m3.

In the Camaro video, it sounds like it is actually cutting the timing between shifts rather than cutting the throttle momentarily. I know my car does that in various PTM modes to gradually get you back onto the correct line so as not to be too abrupt or upset the car.

Camaro sounds awesome, like burble mode every time he shifts. If tuners figured out launch control on 6mt,no lift shift should be possible.I'm not and expert but tuners for other brands always offer launch control with no lift shift like they are related.

I suppose if the shift is near highest rpm, say near 8500, keeping the gas pedal down will limit the rpm to 8600.

I think his point is that you might need a new clutch at 100k instead of the 150k they can last with normal shifting habits.
