New M3 Lease Rate/ Rip Off ! Better Alternatives

So my salesman calls me up stating they have 2 M3s, a sedan and coupe. Both cars are equally good looking, but they both have a real big flaw. BOTH are 70K, which i started asking myself, wow with that kind of money you can get a used low mileage M5. Also, with that you can get a Carrera..hmmmm, now i love all ///M cars, you guys probably have seen my M3post videos on the spy M3s, but i do have to admit that BMW has failed to reach its main public, "the young". which is probably their highest consumer. I asked also what kind of lease rates are being offered, which really told me STAY AWAY from this vehicle. 36 months 5K down, 1360$ a month !!! WOW, i know the lease rates must be off the charts for this car right now, but 1360$ a month is a little rough. due to the fact that you can now lease a brand new M5, for right around the same amount. i dont know about you guys, but i really think BMW has stepped away from its course of reaching the young and ambitious, it has now grown up and stepped into big boy territory. If thats the case, i would atleast love to see REAL CARBON FIBER interior and some SUEDE, not some leather "carbon fiber" or cloth headline..maybe this summer i'll trade my 335i covert for it, but for now i'll stick to my M6 and 335i....for those looking for an M3, just wait or if your impatient GET THE M5 !

look at the lease rate for the 650i. its a 76K car. i had a lease for 42 months 950$. only 3500 drive off. very possible, i know at this point they wont drop any thousands off that 70K, but they will eventually. which will make it very possible to reach 800-1000 mark.

exactly. it makes no sense. but hey some people are impatient! just like i was with the M6, as soon as i found out they got one. i jumped at it and said fuck it, this is the daddy of them so lets do it. and i havnt regreted at all. but since im almost done with the lease in a year and a half. it will be fun jumping into the 5.5 liter pushing close to 600HP M6 , i got the insight on that. BMW has something up their sleeves, for AUDI and MERC. if not the new refreshed M6, probably the CS CONCEPT "8series" M version.

That is just ridiculous. I mean im a huge ///M fan, but I completely agree these prices at the moment are wack. I love bmw all together but for $1360 I would rather throw in another 100 a month and would easilyyy pick up an R8. I'm sorry to say but this time audi really did it big. Hands down the M3 isnt anything close to being as aggressive, slick, sporty, exotic etc etc as the R8. Like I said for around 1400 a month its a really stupid move IMO

1,400$ for an AUDI R8? no way. i went to look at the car and got figures for it, and believe me 1,400$ is not even close. its about 2400$. due to the fact that the car is not close to being MSRP. everywhere you go its atleast 15K mark up. so even without the mark up im sure it should be around 2K a month...but you are right audi did it big with that R8...

Yeah, you can't lease a $120-130k car for $1500/mo. Not even close.

$2100-2300/mo. on a $125k is more realistic.

It is still a $65K car. Just finance it. Rates are great right now.

I got the same numbers today from my dealership. $1350 with $5k down and 36months. I was expecting it to be closer to $1000 so I was really surprised.

As far as the R8 goes, here in Miami its selling for around $160,000. Sounds to me like $2400+ would be more in the range for one of those.

I also looked at an 2008 z06 for comparison and it was almost the same thing, even less. Obviously not paying dealer premium for the z06.

For a $68,500 M3 Sedan. 24 mo/10k. $0 Down. 7 MSDs. No taxes included...$1135.

I am leaning more towards doing a E92 335i for a couple years and then picking up an under MSRP M3 after that...seems like I good plan with the current economic situation.

Unhappy Lease rates

I configured my M3 coupe - cost $71,000, dealer told me that my lease rate was $1430 / month, isnt this the same to finance over a 60 month period?
my enthusiasm has fallen, a 335 XI coupe can be leased for $520/month
a 650 coupe would be cheaper

I would just wait it out until the M3 isn't so exclusive.

Well I said that because I work with a doctor that just picked one up with $0 down for $1750 according to him, so i figured with about 5 grand down like you said you would be able to pick it up for around $1500. I havent really looked into it but maybe he might be lying to seem like he had a steal
