Help! Gap between the hood and grille

So I recently installed the lux headlights and gloss black grilles on my 08 e92 M3 alpine white MT w/ carbon fiber roof. Convience package, cold weather package, etc. So now the gap between my hood and grille is wider than before I installed the new one. Sorry if this was posted before but I could not find anything on this topic. Ive been to Dinan and Circle bmw and they said nothing is wrong but lets be real. They dont care. The gap is too wide. How do I fix this?! There has to be a way. I had the same problem on my 07 335i stage 3 dinan. How do I fix this? Please help

Mmm..not sure,we all having a big gap,that's for sure !
But... with the black grill that is not the Oem grill it seems that the gap is always bigger,so i think that the Oem chrome grill is wider and so than the gap is smaller !
BTW....saw it before , the difference between after market and Oem grill .

Looks to me like the bumper is a little off. Maybe a loose screw or not completely aligned before it was tightened. Not sure if you're the original owner but maybe the bumper or hood is aftermarket

You don't have to mess with the bumper to install lux bulbs

Did you shut your hood firmly enough?

Absolutely. Thats the first thing i checked. You have to mess with the bumper when you install the grille. I just did everything in one shot so i decided to put that I replaced the bulb for the angel eyes. Thanks though.

Ah, didn't know you installed the grilles. Yeah definitely check the alignment of your bumper. Other than that, it looks normal to me.

Bumper is slightly pushed in from the looks of it. Unscrew the four screws on top a little and pull the bumper out towards you and screw it down. Should fix your problem.

Hopefully now you can see the gap better. The alignment is good just that the bumper looks too low. I tried to pull the bumper out already. It wasnt that. I dont know what else to do maybe grommets under the bumper?

Apparently yes, but I agree I don't see an abnormal gap here.

To the OP...you can adjust the bumper to you heart's content with these eccentric screws, pictured in red boxes. You can make adjustments to the headlight and fender the same way using their respective screws.

OP this is normal, relax lol. If it bothers you that much, you can do the above but I wouldn't worry about it.

The fact that you think after swapping bulbs your hood and bumper are off.

Unless you took your bumper off (unnecessary) to install the lights then nothing could have possibly changed.....just think about it...... I wouldn't try adjusting the bumper or fenders yourself. You will only make it worse. Your car looks fine, just leave it be. Buuuuut, if you can't resist you can always do the adjustment. I would first try with the rubber bump stops easily identifiable by the headlight housing. You can see them in the picture above, they are circular.

Now that the laughing is aside, I agree with this post. I would first start with trying to adjust the rubber bump stops by the headlight housing. Those are easier to adjust and return to original before adjusting the entire bumper. These will just adjust the height from the bumper and hood and I think this will please what is bothering the OP.
