powdered wheels and Dinan exhaust installed
Its coming together nicely And I have to say the Dinan exhaust is perfect.. Loud when I want it to be and quiet if I need it to be... The wheels came out great, i love the MR and black combo , lip, competition wing, kidney grilles , blacked out trim are next, then engine mods

Is it true Dinan has two 'fake' exhaust tips just for looks? I would guess the replacement tips would be pricy. Why not lower the price and have two tips.

I couldn't answer your question, when i was looking for an exhaust my search criteria didn't include the word " fake"

being very interested in getting this exhaust for my upcoming M3, i talked with Joshua over at Dinan today about this very issue. here's the white paper on the issue.... http://www.dinancars.com/university/detail.aspx?id=15 it's worth reading....because, while this may very well be true, it's not the whole story. Dinan puts a lot of money and time into R&D to come up with some strong products for our BMWs. admittedly it doesn't sit well with me that i'll have two "fake" tips in my quad exhaust set....but,i think it's just a superficial element to get over, because they've come up with a very solid exhaust system and having those two non functional tips just looked better than not. as it stands now, i'm still going with Dinan.
