You won’t make that power with a v2ti at the wheels they are rated to 1050bhp

Thank you for your idea! Not a big deal for me having that performance in a pocket

My Dodson Sportman's clutches (all 3 sets) think differently from you about the power and torque

Amazing results, the clutch issue is a bummer considering how rock solid the rest of the car is. Have you looked into SSP? I believe that’s what most of the F10M5 guys run and those engines make ridiculous torque.

I don't think people realize how big of a deal this is. When breaking records by hundredths of seconds counts, you shattered the 60-130 record by more than 1/2 second. You also shattered your own 1/4 mile record by another 1/2 second and beat your own trap speed by 4 MPH.

Congrats!

I am quite conservative guy in making choices. In 2016 Dodson Sportsman's was the best product available, while SSP in 2016 had very negative reputation.

But nobody from the list of clutch producers could predict with their top-rated products how they would feel themselves in WORLD RECORD CAR!!!

20 runs from standpoint and 1,800 idle rpms is the worst thing to play with those clutches having sooo huge torque...

0-100kmh = 2.4s
1/4 mile: 6 runs DURING ONE DAY under 9,9 s (from 9,74s to 9,87s).
60 ft: 1,536-1,57 (6 times during one day)

Once anybody with F10 M5 and SSP clutches shows such performance from standpoint, we would continue discussion.

But as of now, I installed completely custom Russian clutch pack with significantly thicker discs and 9/9 composition and would test it in 3 days on final for this year competition: 1/2 standing mile in Moscow. The weather is planned to be too cold (plus 14-15C) and maybe rainy, but would see: my task is to ruin 1/2 mile trap speed WR (looking for 175+ mph) and to set up 1/2 standing mile ET WR (very low 15's). The problem of this competition is that I should run with FULL interior (all factory seats), thus taking back 65+kg to the car...

Hope, God is with me!

Thank you so much!

That is really funny to analyze... The "same" VT4 car in 2017 and 2019 with the same driver, but:

1/4 ET: 10,25s -> 9,74s
1/4 trap: 140 mph -> 144 mph
60ft: 1,70s -> 1,53s

The list of changes from 2017 to 2019:

1) SC pulley: 79mm -> 76mm
2) Suspension springs: 110 (100) kg -> 70 (70) kg
3) Tyres: 315/30/18 -> 315/35/17
4) DSC mode: MDM -> OFF.

Also, competition from other BMW's in Russia where I've been BMW king from 2010 .... and still!!!!!!

During summer of 2017 I did 10,85s 1/4 mile run and set new record in Russia for BMW's and all RWD street cars. In a month M4 with 730+ WHP did
10,33s with 137mph trap and its owner sent me sms with bye-bye note... In 2 weeks I did 10,25s with 140 trap and that M4 was sold in 5 days

In 2018 I was not driving the car due to engine rebuild and F90 M5 with Stage 2 plus tune (750+WHP) did 9,90s and 137 trap, and became recognized in Russia as the fastest BMW. That times I was waiting for summer of 2019 and that's it))) Now you know 9,74@144

I neeeeed competition to show results. There was no competition from 2010 to 2017, cause in 2014 I had 700 WHP VT3 and nobody from BMW and RWD cars could come even near to its performance. From 2017 F-series of M-cars started to show good times and I did wake up))))

Insane... beautiful results! Would love to see this car go head to head with a twin-turbo S65 to see what the comparison would be like, that blue one that has been floating around youtube haha...

Thank you!

Should be easy punishment

1000 whp + DCT is a killer for 850 whp or whatever similar + 6 MT even with much more efficient turbo structure by default...

DCT at such power levels, if it could work normally, is like +100 whp in compare to MT: at every shift 3-4 cars lengths would go in favor of DCT car

Agreed. It's just not a apple to apple comparison. Filinm3 went to a great deal of work (and costs) to develop the motor, 4.5 liter and all that, plus set up for drag racing. Having said that if both cars were of the same build I'd bet the turbo setup would set the record.

your project is amazing bro.
i need your advice please to get a tuner for my below project as well as some direction from you.

as I aiming to get 800whp

Below are upgrade I have in my car:

- Rebuilt engine (Carrillo pistons and arms, upgraded rod bearings) stock compression
- ESS Supercharger
- Vortech v2 blower
- Upgraded Fuel system (dual fuel pump, 2nd one works on 3psi boost hub switch)
- 1000 CC injectors
- DCT SSP Spec R clutch
- CSF Cooling System
- Upgraded Water coolant for the ESS Intake Manifold (bigger than what come from ESS)

My challenges are:

- My blower pulley size S65/7-833mm
- I don't know the size of the crank bully size I have now (funny is the VT2650 belt is running fine now) but am happy if for and an advice to get the right pulleys.

Please share which clutch disks these are? Also are you running stock ECU, where did you tune the car?
