I will give it a shot. If it leaks, I will weld. Looking forward to getting the tune and the parts so that I can prep the car for summer!!

Got my AA test pipes today. They are REALLY well built. Once I get my other items sorted on my car, I will have to install these.

Dinan mufflers with test pipes on the oe xpipe sounds weak. If you want the best sound out of the Dinan exhaust get a full catless midpipe.
Example Sound:

i have dinan section 3 behind my evolve X-pipe with highflow secondary and resonators, and the exhaust imho sounds perfect. I do DD my m3, so obnoxious was out of the question. Most common comment I get from other M car owners is "your exhaust sounds more tuned than others".

Thanks for the suggestions.
Currently I am not looking for any louder sound. I just want a bit more power. I will see how it goes and keep this in mind. Cheers,

I also do not want to smell fuel or have drone, so I would need to find a good x-pipe with some cats in it. Those are even more money. Might upgrade later. Cheers,

The smell with the test pipes is a little more potent than with the cats when started in my garage with the doors cracked. Not terrible but you can notice it.
I am sure when it is outside it will not be bad. I would comment on sound change if I had mufflers on the car right now... UPDATE: Put the mufflers back on and the test pipes do not change much when driving normally. No drone with the Dinan setup that I can tell. They do have more rasp when you give it the happy pedal

The smell in a garage is not terrible but certainly worse than with primary cats. That is not the issue for me. I have never smelled any odour when outside or driving around. The reason I would not do this again is the added full throttle rasp that the test pipes introduced. I find it just a little much. This is likely due to me getting older . Just driving around, the test pipes are fine. And on the highway at 85MPH, sounds great and has no drone. Probably going to try to find a nice X-pipe with high-flow-cats for next year. Hope this helps. Cheers,

Cat converters act like a small muffler. Test pipes are going to make the exhaust sound tinny and raspy, as people have said on here for as long as I can remember. I don't really get why people sacrifice a nice smooth exhaust note (and pollution) for the sake of a few extra HP.

And I agree, this is the first time I have removed cats from a car and it will be the last. I do not really need the extra power as, if I am honest with myself, ~414HP is more than enough. Cheers,
