Ground Clearance

What is the ground clearance on an E92? I'm looking to ship the car and the company says that the minimum is 4". Has anyone had experience with this?

im guessing its gonna be over 4 inches but close. i didnt measure everywhere but did measure today at the front just below the bumper skin on my e90 m3 today looking at lips and its between 4 and 1/2 and 5 inches on a stock suspension where the felt cover is which i believe to be the lowest point.

The biggest benefit they provide for me is to scrape dead squirrels away from the track of the tires. Works well, less mess that way.

Seriously, I think they are an aerodynamic piece designed to deflect the air around the tire. Clearance on mine is 2.75"

Isn't 4" the minimum DOT allowed from the factory? I'm not sure about this, but it's what I've heard. So you should be fine unless it has an aftermarket suspension.

I swear to god, from how often I scrape, you'd think it was 4mm.

The thing I worry about most is the fins on the diff. They are at about 5 1/2 inches. The little plastic pieces near the tire are 4 1/2 on my car. The front lip is also at 4 1/2. I have the sedan but I would guess it is near the same as the coupe. It will be close but you should be ok. I would take some before and after undercarriage pictures just to be on the safe side.
