And Shick is right ... the difference is not that big between 4300k and 6k ... you can see things more clearly in my opinion. It's like to compare Halogen light to Xenon ... Xenon is better because the light is not that yellow ... the same thing here ... |

more manufacturers would be using them no? i don't know of any european car companie who use 6000K as oem spec only ones i know are japanese but then again a ricer is usually japanese too and unless i am mistaken, your 6000K bulbs were tinted blue anytime you tint a bulb, you take away brightness i'm with you they look better, no doubt about that but i know the bluish tint you see in Audi's is a function of their reflectors and the cut off of the beam, not the bulbs they also use 4300K bulbs |

i am not so sure they will give an error code usualy you get the code when the resistance of a circuit changes but in most HID kits, the resistance is very low as it's more of a relay function i.e. a minimal votage just to turn on the ballast and then the volage gets bumped up i don't know if the OEM HID would give you an error if one of the HID bulbs was out? anyone seen that before? |

I have tested them with a light meter before. The difference is measurable and noticeable to the naked eye when compared side by side. Kmarei, I believe the Japanese manufacturers use 5000K for their lamps. I don't know of any manufacturer that uses 6000K as OEM. You are correct in the fact that the bluish tinge of the Audi lights are produced by the way the beam is cutoff by the reflector.
