slide out screen head unit for single hump cars?
I'm about to be the proud new owner of a single hump '08 E93. The single hump is intentional as I just don't like the way they look, but it _would_ be nice to have carplay. Are there slide out head units that can work, or is that a non-starter with the center stack?

Not sure what you mean by slide out screen...
But they sell double-din and single-din trim kits for E90/92 cars. You can then just add an aftermarket headunit of your choice. I've seen videos of an aftermarket screen from aliexpress where you can retrofit it into the dash. This requires cutting the dash and attaching the screen, which would defeat the purpose of you choosing the 'single hump' dash. But it is an option...
