Need Help! Front 265/35/19 tire rubbing really bad.
Hi, All
So I just purchased a set of Vorsteiner VFF103, and the front wheels' specs are 19x9.5J +22...I tried to put on 265/35/19 MPSS today, and it rubs really bad... Anyone have experience with this? Any solutions or recommendations? Please let me know, Thanks. |

What drop and alignment settings? I am running Apex ARC8s up front in 19x9.5 +22 with 265/35/19. About 1" drop, -1.8 camber and 5mm spacers. I actually rub a little under turning so I am swapping to 3mm spacers this weekend.

According to Apex, on the E9X M3, the recommended fitment to have the deepest concavity would be the 19x9.5" ET22 and 19x10.5" ET22 staggered fitment, in which you would use 265/30/19 and 285/30/19 sized street tires. If you are willing to roll your rear fenders, you can fit up to a 295/30/19 sized tire.
What are you rubbing on? Tire sidewall, fender lining? |

I don't know why the front tires rub crazy, it's rubbing on inside of the fender, I don't know what they are called, its the plastic parts that are right in front and behind the tires, it rubs when I turn my steering wheels... |

There is nothing you can do since your tires is too large. Try a 30 series

Running a 265/35/19 PSS on a ET22 9.5" VMR V710 front on stock suspension and I only rub on full lock and even then only minor. I've heard the PSS are "broad-shouldered" in that the sidewall protrudes quite a bit lending to these rubbing issues, but I can't explain why you're rubbing is so bad. Maybe the tire will push the fender liners out of the way

May want to look into adding some more negative camber and see if that helps?

Where are you rubbing? If it is the strut, get spacers. It if it other places, that will help in helping you but saying over and over, "it rubs" isn't getting us anywhere.

How much clearance do you have to the outside of the fender? I'm guessing you will gain clearance to the strut and inside wheel well with just a little more spacing. You have to imagine the wheel on a pivot for purposes of clearance. Move that pivot slightly out and the front inside leading edge will clear if the problem is on turn in. If it was going forward, it would either be too much tire diameter or too much caster which can't be changed without plates.

Thanks everyone for the help.
It starts rubbing before I turn on full lock, I don't remember when exactly it starts rubbing since I already took the 265/35 tires off the car. The rubbing is from the tires' shoulders to the plastic parts right in front and behind the tires. I think the tires are too tall, but azndrunk74 said his 265/35 fits just fine... Is there a big difference between Pss and ps2?

265/35R19 is too big to reliably fit the M3 although as noted above some have been able to make it work.
