Installed Active Autowerke software!!!!

Everyone, just received my AA software upgrade to my ECU. Big Thanks to IND and AA for their great customer service and extremely quick turn around time.

Reinstallation was very straightforward and easy. Took me about 20 minutes. Once I started my M3, no CEL whatsoever. I only driven the car about 20 miles so I'm sure the ECU is still adapting to my AA pulley, Eisenmann Race, and Gruppe M.

Initial impressions: Felt a slight increase in torque below 3500 rpm. I think that it will be more noticeable when ECU is fully adapted. Above 3500 rpm the car really pulls and that's even at half throttle. I agree with Pencil Geek's impression of how the car seems to increase power even up to redline. Idle seems very smooth, and throttle is very crisp responsive. Overall I am quite pleased. More impressions to follow once ECU is fully adapted. Excellant Work Active Autowerke!!

Nice review there, so far nothing but great feedback on their software. Looks like they followed up their success with the 335 well!

Happy to hear you like it.

Remember M3post members tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of the discounted intro price. Contact AA or an Authorized Vendor to get your ECU upgrade!!

Is this CARB-certified for California? Any plans to certify it?

Not only that but you have to remember when modding that the dealer must prove a modification caused a specific issue with the car before refusing warranty service. They cannot void your warranty on the basis that you simply have aftermarket mods.

Absolutely, Nate then I really don't know what to do after that? Hmmmm let me start thinking.

Been there done that, long time ago.

After putting another 30 miles. It seems to me the low end torque is improving even more. I guess the adaptation of the ECU. Idle at start up is much more improved as well. I've been sucking up gas like no tomorrow which once again is the combination of the ECU adapting and more so how fun the car feels above 4000 rpm. Absolutely wonderful! Definately, a great mod.

Put of curiosity...

How does the chip upgrade work with regards to the M button ? Do you still have the options for the 3 throttle responses?

Im actually thinking of going the AA way with a pulley, header back full exhaust and the chip upgrade over the winter.

It's independant of the M button. You still have all three settings which are all enhanced with the chip upgrade.

Come on Anup, you know you can't resist. It's an addiction. Every time I add one thing to my sig, another item comes to mind on my next mod list. We have to come up with group therapy.

Don't resist the temptation- you're only making it harder on yourself.
