Turner Triple Baffled Aluminum Power Steering Reservoir

Saw this power steering reservoir last month for $163.79, but couldn't find any reviews on it. I ended up buying it to try it out and thought I would share the install in case others were considering it.

https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-9...ing-reservoir/

Reached out to Turner they told me the fill line is to the top of the "Turner" Bracket and to remove the filter to undo the allen bolts and slide out the filter. I had tried that prior to getting an answer from them and it was in there pretty good. I didn't want to break anything not knowing how it was designed, so I didn't test pulling out the filter prior to installing.

Initial thoughts, the mesh filter is not as "fine" like the filter in the stock reservoir. Reused the stock bracket and installed it midway otherwise there was no room underneath. Install is easier than the stock filter as the hose connections are next to each other making them easier to clamp (I used the stock Oetiker style clamps). I have it installed for about 2 weeks now with no issues. Hope to be able to make it out to COTA next month to truly test it.

I like the looks of this one, I made a catch can for mine with a motorcycle resevoir but it still seems to leak out. Are the lower hose clamps a one time use?

It didn't come with any clamps for the hoses. You can use an adjustable screw one if you wanted. I just stuck with the OEM ones that are one time use.

It seems to cost $235 now!!

Here's another new option from MPower that costs $300 initial price. The $100 is a deposit.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I just installed mine today, really nice piece, well made. It look OEM in the engine compartment. One tip I would have for everybody is the smaller hose is a little too long in this application. You can cut it off at the barb on the old reservoir. I couldn't pull mine off as hard as I tried. The hose is still a little long even after cutting it. It clocks into place well though no issues for me.

It definitely will fix the leaking issue.

I appreciate you linking that! Just put in my pre-order. I love how it's very OEM looking

Seems kinda expensive, I just zip tie a towel over the cap so it catches the fluid on track. Refill the reservoir as necessary.

I don't know if this will help much with the power steering fluid? The overflow of the reservoir is caused by overheated fluid spraying out... does this cool better over stock?

It holds more capacity and the baffles help with the cavitating, the seal is like an oil filter cap. There is no way fluid is coming out of this thing. I had OEM with a catch can, and it still spilled everywhere.

Update:
So after a couple weeks I noticed powersteering fluid around the reservoir, wiped it off and made sure the threads were clean and a week later noticed there was still fluid around it. Cleaned it again and only after a couple miles of city driving there's 2 small streams of power steering fluid coming from 2 sides of the power steering reservoir at the top where the lid threads onto the reservoir. So this reservoir is not working for me. I just submitted a claim to return. I'll likely just stick with stock reservoir for now.
