Thoughts on the shop?

I'd be interested. I talked to SVbimmer about this a year ago and they advised me to wait to 60k miles (which I am approaching now). It would be smart to offer a motor mount option to this if you can.

If this is not OK with the mod's (as you are the new "Matt"), just start a facebook group and link to it from here
I already have the shop onboard, several people interested. Everything is ready... I'm just holding out from officially launching on here until the details are squared away.

More details coming soon.

In the same boat here. I bought mine recently at a bit over 60K miles which seems to be a prime spot for RBs and motor mounts to be done. SV Bimmer is also the shop I'm planning to take it to and I heard that they ran a promo last year during the summer. Might be worth reaching out to them and seeing if they plan to do the same this year.

I'd be down for any Bay Area runs.
I'm in Elk Grove on the weekends pretty often too if there's any Sac area meets.

To those that drive on Skyline regularly, is Sat or Sun better and what time of day? Are there lots of cyclists? I'm free on Saturdays or Sundays.

At night deer are possibly a factor. Honestly I'm lazy and usually go in the late afternoon. I'll be strategic and wait in areas with long roads where I let traffic in front of me get far ahead and take off when I see a new car approaching in the distance from the rear view.

I'm in. I'm coming from Santa Cruz, so probably farther south then the rest of u guys, but here's the route I normally take on that drive. The starting school spot is the only parking lot I could find in that area, if you guys have other suggestions let me know.

I honestly like the upper part of 9 north of Boulder Creek more then Skyline. It is a much smoother road being repaved not long ago, and the turns are tighter. Also alot is uphill, which I prefer over down hill runs having to constantly brake. Let me know what you guys think, I'm available any Sunday and most Saturdays.

The school would be a decent spot for people like me in San Jose to meet up with you as well!

That's what I was thinking. There's not many places on that road with enough room to meet. Farther up 9 there is a look out point with room, but you're pretty much to Skyline by then.

Looks like a fun drive! Now for the hard part, picking a date that a lot of people can make. I'd be driving from the Sac area so anyone that wants to cruise to the cruise, let me know.
