this is a good price, best case, they could have went down another $500 to $700 IMO. Was this a cash purchase? If so, even better.

well, if you read through this thread, you'll see the general figures are:

1. $20k depreciation from sticker in the first 2 years.
2. prices bottomed out and held steady to $30k even for the older (08/09) higher mileage cars

If you purchase used, AND if you got a price under $52k (depending on year, mileage, model, options, location), then you generally made a smart purchase, assuming you didn't get butt reamed on a trade in or finance.

2011 E93
20K miles
DCT
Tech Package
Premium Package
Carbon leather trim
Two tone leather
Heated seats
Premium sound
19 inch rim upgrade (rears have PSS)

Still has 10 months of new car warranty + 2 years of CPO
52K from BMW dealer

Did I get an okay price? Has a tiny little ding on the hood if you look at just the right angle and driver side leather has some character. Small scuff marks on the driver side rims.

what does shipped mean? includes shipping costs? What is the CPO expiry date?

I would aim for about $45k range excluding shipping cost and cash deal, and assuming CPO expires early 2017

When you say cash deal, you're not meaning handing over $45k in cash and not having a car not huh? What do you mean?

cash deal -

At the point of sale, you hand the seller a check (or cash) to pay for the car outright.

You may still be financing the car through your local bank, credit union, or your parents, but at the point of sale in the seller's perspective, you are paying them an entire lump sum for the car, and the transaction is complete.

The intentions for a cash deal are important to note to a dealer and ALSO TO NOTE IN THIS THREAD b/c some dealers are willing to cut you a deal on the price of the car if you finance directly through them. At a minimum if you finance through them, you should ABSOLUTELY ask for a bigger discount on the price of the car, b/c they make more money on the financing side.

This is also the case if you're trading a car in too.

For this thread, people should write whether they financed it and whether they had a trade at the point-of-sale, b/c that can greatly effect your negotiating power on the price of the car.

There seem to be deals out there, but you never know what you're going to get with some of these shady dealers.

Saw an '08 E90 66k for $28k in NYC, but who knows. Carfax misses a lot of things.

1997 BMW 328i Touring  [0.00]
2012 BMW M3  [0.00]
2012 with in service of 7/12 e92 MW with black/red, interior. CF roof, DCT, ZCP, loaded, non-CPO Carmax $519xx., 21000mi. carbon mirrors, spoiler delete. parital clear bra. only flaw I've found is 1 curbed wheel. (engine was overfilled with oil, but not sure how significant that would be if corrected quickly) Look elsewhere or reasonable price? I don't mind spending an extra 1-2k if car is in good condition and has options I want like this.
