Greenville, SC Shop Recommendation for RBC

I'm looking to get the RBC's done on my E92 and really don't want any drama. I'd like to know if anyone can recommend a reputable shop in the Greenville, SC area that can handle the job with no issues.

Have any luck elsewhere sourcing a shop? Maybe the local BMW CCA folks have some insight to local trusted shops.

Two other forum members from upstate SC have recommended an indy shop in Hendersonville. Both had their RB's done there. The shop also did the R/B's on one of their personal M3's. Probably have done others.

Nothing yet. I just want a shop to handle it that has a good reputation of doing the job right. I may have to look into having it done in Charlotte or my old stomping grounds in Knoxville.

Any update on local indy shops? Does anyone have recommendations for enthusiast-run alignment locations for example? (i.e. ones that welcome and understand those with their own settings and procedure request)

Finally, if you have a new car under warranty (M2C), would you take it to Century BMW (24min away from me) or BMW of Asheville (50 min away)?

Don't know about RBC (heard good things about Eurotechnik though) but I highly recommend Pompeii Motorsports for an alignment. I took my E36 M3 there and was very happy with their work. I've had OK luck with Century, but I only take my car there for recalls. You do have to leave notes on the dash if you don't want your car washed, because they always seem to forget otherwise.

Are you new to Greenville? Could have sworn you used to be up in NC

Thanks! Looks like Pompeii is the place for alignments -- great reference.

Yes, we moved to this area back in September from Raleigh.

Any luck on finding a shop? We're getting ready to move to the Greenville area as well and I'd be very interested to know a good independent to take my E92 to.

I have not definitively found a shop but have talked to a few shops in town. One is named Schall Motorsports https://www.schallmotorsport.com/ and the other is Heads Up Automotive in Spartanburg https://headsupauto.com/.

Chris at Heads Up seemed to really know his stuff and the platform and has done the RBC job many times which was refreshing. I plan to have the job done in March and will update you on which way I go.

Pompeii worked out well for an alignment and tire mounting. I took the E91 there last week to get PS4S mounted and finally get this thing aligned. Excellent service and communication.

Now general question for those in the area familiar with local dealers. I need to take the M2C in for its yearly oil change and brake fluid flush, etc, all free maintenance. I've used Leith BMW in Raleigh for the past many decades, had personal relationships with many, and a wonderful tech who was assigned to me specifically...great deal for new car service all these years (as I DIY out of warranty service).

Now that we moved to SC, I need to decide between Century BMW and Asheville BMW. It's 30 min to Century and just under 60min to Asheville from here.

Any input/experience?

I live in Greenville and use Century. They are a pretty good dealership for your service work and are pretty cool to deal with. I'm looking for an enthusiast shop for mods and the like here in town though.

Do you have any personal experience with Euro Mpire? I have been considering changing my rod bearings and they are on my prospective list of Charlotte shops. I am also considering GMP and Dynamic.

I don't have personal experience yet but a friend of mine speaks very highly of Matt Schlaeder at Euro Mpire. I haven't used them yet (I'm in Raleigh so it's a haul for me) but I will very soon as I'm looking at an X5 for my wife in CLT. I'll have MPire do the PPI.

Thumbs up

I would strongly recommend Eurotechnik in Hendersonville. They have done rod bearings in 2 of my M3s. I'm in Asheville, but take my car to them for most everything. They have lots of experience, very fair pricing, and are just nice folks.

Downtown Tire Pros in Hendersonville is who they use for alignments. I have been impressed with their work, and they are experienced with track setups.

Not far from Lawrenceville, GA probably. Can always go to True Automotive which used to be Markert motorsports.

I'm going to use your friends at EuroTechnik in Hendersonville, NC. They say they are on the list for BE Bearings and ARP Bolts and should have 3 sets of them mid December. Thanks for the recommendation.
