BMW Performance Accessories
Hi,
I have realized that BMW has its additional original performance parts sold seperately for 3.35 or 1.35 which significantly increase the engine output and your car is still under warranty. Is there any similar parts for the M3 that can increase the engine output without voiding the warranty? My goal is to have no visual changes but increase the low end torque and shift the overall hp curve upwards. (while keeping the warranty) Thanks |

Im sure I wont be the only one to say, but you pretty much bought the wrong car. the ///M is a beast in its own way, its low end torque is part of its character and even though I've done every bolt on mod, it still doesn't have CRAZY low end torque like a Corvette or Mustang. But it has an 8400rpm redline, and that will make most, very happy!

So far there have been very little BMW Performance Accessories that actually compete with aftermarket companies when it comes to terms of power output. I am pretty sure they are more than capable of doing it but it's not something they are focused on.
For now. |

BMW Performance does not offer anything for the M3
the closest thing you can get to performance parts that maintain your warranty is Dinan (assuming you have a local Dinan dealer) www.dinancars.com -Scott

i dont get this whole low end torque thing really... would it have been better to have a peak output of 600nm at 2k rpm and then have it taper off just past 5.8k in a similar fashion to the n54?? would u not complain about "flat spots" in the rpm then... just a question? imo M cars are the perfect compromise between DD's and track monster's, not the best in either class but the best at catering for both in one motherf***er of a package anyways @ besiktas... u like others here have a BEAUT of a car... rent a Prius or an rx8 for a day and u will soon realise what you have Goodluck with the mods |
