Velos Designwerks | ESS takes their talents down to South Beach
Hey Guys,
It has been an honor to have consecutively installed two ESS VT625 Supercharger Systems here in South Florida. Omar and myself have been in the aftermarket BMW community for over seven years each and have been involved in aftermarket forced induction upgrades for over a decade. It has been a real pleasure to have taken this project from start to finish. The packaging alone can be called a work of art and is a testament to ESS's dedication to providing a quality product to our community. It's not often you slow down to admire the packaging when receiving go fast parts. These cars have performed beyond our expectations in so many ways not just on the dyno in horrible conditions over the past three months but especially on the street, the performance is so consistent it almost seems unreal. It's mid summer now and these cars are just amazing and require no additional elements to perform. We excited to be an ESS dealer and are looking forward to installing a few more kits as well as getting some more seat time behind one. **Both cars were equipped with full Akrapovic exhaust systems prior to supercharger install (dyno runs). Install Shots: Car 1: Car 2: **p.s. Video coming soon. Dyno Charts: Car 1 Car 2 |

As the lucky owner of car number 2, I could not agree more with what Jean has said here. This kit is truly amazing. I was a little skeptical at first and really did not know if I wanted to go the FI route. After a lot of research and back and forth with Berto, the owner of car number 1, we decided to move forward and made the decision that the ESS kit would be the best kit for the both of us. This kit doesn't just look great, it performs like no other. From the moment you turn on the car, you know you're in for something special. This car is my daily driver. I take my daughter to school in it, drive it to work, pick up my daughter, etc... When I say it still drives like a stock car under normal driving conditions, I kid you not. If you were sitting in my car with me, you wouldn't know it was supercharged in everyday driving. But once you call for the power, its definitely there. This car moves!! Better said, these cars move. Its remarkable how alike these cars behave, and how consistent. I am sure I am speaking for the both of us when I say, we have no complaints. ESS is the way to go.
I'm sure Berto will add to this thread when he sees it. As far as Velos is concerned, they are truly a unique shop with plenty of good qualities. They are really good people with great talent. They definitely know what they are doing. And the shop is just ridiculous. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Big thank you to Team Velos!!

Nice catch, I apologize I did not clear this up in the original post. The line used to show the power figures at that particular RPM can be a bit deceiving for the AFR. The car actually ran closer to 12's throughout the run and straight through redline. We had a slight issue of the sniffer coming out at redline. Basically we didn't want to screw it on too tight and damage the exhaust tips on the car. Take a look at the AFR a few hundred RPM earlier, it maintained that AFR mixture to redline which we confirmed with other tools on the dyno and the street. |
