To a degree but the early warning lojack tells you right away if your car is moved.

Not me.

If they take it they can have it. Would never want a stolen car back.

ha! i had that on my last car, tested it out no call, so i never replced the batteries in that stupid little fob.

op pass on the lojack. i also remember someone having issues with getting warranty work done because of the lojack install.

I'd get lojack just for the purpose of finding whomever stole it and to have his/hers/their ass put in jail. I too, wouldn't want my car back though, after its been stolen.

If you are installing Lojack to get an insurance premium reduction, save your money. BMW Assist does the same thing and your insurance carrier should grant you that discount. My dealer even went as far as to provide a statement (form letter) from BMW that indicated that the car came equipped with a stolen vehicle recovery device.

Lojack came with the car from dealer. I did not pay for it... at least, it was not a line item. I have never had Lojack and was not thrilled to learn that it requires a key fob attached to key.

Hope I never had a need for it.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the fob either. BMW's own keyfob is big enough as it is. I too am not sure that I'd want a stolen car back (that might change once the M3 goes out of production since I couldn't just get a new replacement), but I got the insurance discount due to BMW Assist.
