Actually quite a few dealerships are starting to get DCT cars that you can test drive. Just last weekend I've driven one at BMW of Tulsa Oklahoma (fully loaded). Today, I've received a call about one in Classic BMW in Plano Texas. Also, a car might be arriving at Autobahn Cas Sales in Dallas within the next two weeks. I would suggest if someone is wanting to test drive DCT to start calling some dealerships.

Will, I want to ask you. Is there such thing as locking a rate? Some salesman once told me that "eli, if you are not ready, you can lock-up the rate by putting a downpayment". Is that true?
I am still looking at January of February order date. Eli |

You can lock the interest rate for up to 60 days usually. For this 0.9% however, it is not lockable, and will expire on 9/2/08. But yes, usually you can lock the rate on the month you are approved. It has nothing to do with a deposit - it has to do with having an approval for the vehicle. Will |

---- By the way guys - I'm working with the factory to get a custom 2009 M3 Coupe built in Laguna Seca Blue. I will keep you all updated if I can get it through |

Will and Laguna Seca BLue
It's great to see a CA make the effort to try for the special order paint. Laguna Seca sounds like it's about the hardest to get since it's not on a current production model. Finally saw it in Seville on an e46 M3. There is something enchanting about that color in person that isn't quite captured on the monitor
Will (@Longbeach) did the work and checked on special order paint for me also. I'll probably put in an order later in the year if these special orders go through. I'm old and boring and just want a Titanium Silver. |

Just got the allocation for a September build 2009 E92 M3 Coupe in Laguna Seca Blue!!! =) They said they can only allow very few M3 Coupes to be painted in this color (they told me somewhere under 5 units worldwide for 2009 model year). They said the reason why I got allocation is because I am requesting it so early in the 2009 year.
I am having it built to the following allocation: Color: Laguna Seca Blue / Black Novillo Leather Options: DCT, 19" Wheels, Premium Package, Technology Package, Carbon Leather Trim, iPod, Carbon Fiber roof. If anybody is interested in this car, I would be happy to modify it accordingly with a deposit. The extra cost for the paint is $5,000. This car will be sold at MSRP. Thanks! Will |
