bavgruppedesign.com

Anything good or bad about bavgruppedesign.com, looking to get a kit for my headlights and was wondering what is the opinion about their products?

From what I've seen, they are one of, if not the most legit companies offering retrofit parts for BMWs. Google BayOptiks

Are you referring to bayoptics or bavgruppedesign?

I just checked bayoptic but I'm looking for a diy kit, don't want to spend on the whole set up already modified.

Thanks

BayOptiks is a company based in the Bay Area that utilizes parts from Bavgrüppe Designs to build custom headlights. You can certainly buy the individual pieces from Bavgrüppe Designs for a DIY.

They're decent. A few new companies have popped up that made the retrofit much easier than BavGruppes.

The only issue I have is that, the drivers failed for me. Occasionally my one side will turn Amber for the switch back feature though I do not have this plugged in. When I reached out for support he told me it was a coding issue with the vehicle. However this wasn't true. I switched the LED Driver harness to the other side and the problem followed with the drivers. If you take apart the drivers casing it's filled with some sort of rubber cement I assume? Which makes it a PITA to try and rectify the wiring issue yourself.

The way I found to solve this issue was, I would just "squeeze" the housing and it would go back to white lol.

There was a guy in the FB group doing kits. Don't recall his name.
His kits use the OEM tabs so its literally remove and bolt in.

Angel Light Guy or something. I've heard of this guy a few times in the FB group also.

https://neverenoughmods.com/ these guys are based in Europe somewhere. Also utilize the original tabs for easy bolt on.

BavGruppe is on the harder end. I had to use Epoxy to get mine to sit right. There are no instructions for the round rings.

Thanks guys, I'm placing an order with them today. It looks like it's time consuming but I rather do it myself than paying a fortune to someone else when I know I can do it.
