I just heard from Dinan that my order will ship 12/17 so it may be a non issue.

Thanks for stepping in tho bro. Greatly appreciate it.

LOL, I just put them on this afternoon. I took a few quick ones but I will try to get better pics this weekend. Still deciding which center caps to put on, red vs. black. Since I got a pair of CF side market covers, I am thinking to put on the black ones. But, I saw a good pic of someone with red caps so still contemplating.

I like how they sit in the front but I think I need 10 mm spacers in the rear.

Dang man. Car is looking slick. Now you need a drop and front lip spoiler to complete that track look.

What are your wheel tire specs? I can tell you what size spacer you need to sit flush.

I do have a CF front lip waiting to be installed which I will get to when I get around to it. And, I am still shopping around for springs too. Probably go with H&R or Eibach.

The wheels/tires specs are:

F: 18X9.5 +22 with 265/40
R: 18x10 +25 with 275/40

I went with 40 series for ride comfort and plan on using them for cold weather (Michelin ASs). I will likely get a set of 19s next Spring.

Got it. Your max out back is another 6mm. So I would say go with 5mm. I can send you a link to a legit quality spacer from Amazon that includes longer lugs if you want.

For springs go H&R. There's some one selling sport plus (race), but I think his price is jacked for used springs.

LOL I saw that H&R for sale too and thought the same. I'm in no rish for springs so I'll order one probably after the holidays. Amd, thanks a million for the spacer recommendation! I was thinking to order 10 mm but this definitely helps. I wouldn't want to have issues after I lower the car.

Car is looking great. Spacers, lip, and lowering springs will complete the look … then what?!

Really makes me want to join in on the modding, but have to prioritize the house hunt for now.

Looking to move? How's the home pricing these days? Hopefully you guys can find a good deal.

Not sure but I'm still waiting for the plenum and intake. Everything takes time these days with covid...

Yep. It will look like you can fit 10mm now but once you drop and pull in the lower camber arm, it will change the upper edge angle of the tire and reduce the amount of space you have there to clear the fender.

I'll get back with you on the spacers. The ones I was going to send you are no longer available.

Housing market is still really competitive so we definitely won't find a deal, but will also get a strong price for our house so net/net not a big issue. But we are picky so looking for a cool mid-century house that we can renovate before moving in.

It sounds exciting to build in the renovation which will be a fund project! GL with the search.

No rush but thanks for looking out Pat!

On the side note, I've been searching up on learning to detail cars as a hobby. So far, I've come to realize that the detailing work is a Science and Religion in itself, LOL.

Most definitely. My friend Ben knows all about it and uses all chemical brother products along with a $300+ buffer. I have similar things but no where near that price. Just gotta start using them lol.

The strut bar feels nice when cornering! Thanks for helping with the installation Pat!!!

BTW, my front tires scrap against the plastic wheel housing (closer to the back and the passenger side) when the wheels are turned all the way to the passenger side. The plastic cover has a weird hump on the passenger side that seems to rub off slightly. Maybe I should have gotten a 35 series tires instead of 40s...

I used to rub there too. But the reason was very specific. That is where the windshield wiper fluid reservoir tank is. I went in there to replace a sensor or seal (don't recall exactly), and when I reassembled everything the tank didn't sit flush. It caused pretty significant rubbing. I had to go back and reset the tank into position and the liner was able to sit further back and flush thus preventing any kind of rubbing.

Do you know if that area was ever serviced in the life of the car? Could be something to look into. I'm pretty sure I got a pic somewhere of what it looks like.

I think your tires are fine specially since you aren't rubbing on the driver side.

Here're pics of the rubbing spot. As you can see, it's barely touching one area and I can barely hear the rubbing sound as I back out of my garage with the steering wheel turned all the way. BTW, as far as I am aware, no work was ever done on that side (per my buddy who sold the car to me).

From what I'm reading, 265/40 is 2.45% larger than stock but 265/35 is 1.61% smaller.

Those variances are so small they are hardly noticeable.

The side wall shape can also play a role.

Also, I did see the rears are best at 275/35 instead of the 40 series for your setup.

Well, I went with 40 series on purpose and the rear seems to not have any issues so far. I guess I gotta to some more research before I decide to lower the care even thought it will be a minor drop.

As for the side wall shape, I think that actually may be the problem as I don't see this happening to the driver side front.
