I am on my 40th car and have navigated all these interactions successfully. From I “cannot afford it” to “I don’t keep the car long enough” or even “I don’t want it, not even interested”. Some dealerships are cool and if you work with the SA, they can just get you to sign and drive. And some finance managers are cool and just say I’m going to show you these options just tell me if any interest you or not. I don’t mind them showing me their wares, just don’t get all pissy if I don’t want them. Some people want the tire warranty or extended warranty. I’m not that guy. And if I get PPF or ceramic done, it won’t be at the dealership. Well, that’s not true because the last car I got, I typically use the same PPF place in Richmond and it was a pass through cost, no markup. That’s the only time.

I was persuaded to get the ceramic coating and leather protection for a few hundred £. Given the price, I'm not convinced its an actual ceramic coating and it's probably not worth the money. Guess I'll find out when the detailer takes a look!
