Anyone tried Rewitec Powershot?

Looks like it's similar technique to ceramic coating the internals of an engine, apparently popular among the European enthusiasts...Anyone have experience with this?

Never heard of it. What does the TDS/MSDS show for the active ingredient(s)?

Let me ask a more general question: why do you think you need such a product? What proof do you have that it will do anything? What proof do you have that your current lubrication is insufficient?

I was curious because the product was offered to me by one of the shops that I go to..my search tells me that some use it to reduce cylinder friction in racing applications, apparently holds such effect for ~50,000km. It somewhat resembles NANOSLIDE technology that AMG uses on all of its commercial engines, so wanted a bit more info

The only thing the MSDS says is "Organic hydrocarbon mixtures with thickeners and silicates" which doesn't really mean a lot. Understandably, it's proprietary so they aren't going to disclose exactly what's in there. For comparison, Ceratec states on their MSDS that they use "diboron trioxide".

I browsed the website and their explanation is this:

They significantly reduce (primarily through surface passivation) the friction levels of treated components and thus simultaneously ensure less wear, lower system temperatures and as a result have the effect of prolonging service life

This sounds similar to what Ceratec and other "nano" oils like Millers claim to do.

I've used Ceratec religiously in all my cars, don't have much physical evidence to show that it works but my oil analysis came out great on the E92 M3. I do a cycle of MOS2, and Ceratec between oil changes.

If you don't have any substantial evidence, then why waste the money?
