Overheated?

Sorry for the blurriness, but just wanted to query everyone: In this pic, you can see the temp is a bit above 210. For you, is this overheated, or just business as usual, putting the V8 through its paces?

Thanks!

Mine has gone a bit further than yours but not to the 3rd dot tho. I do high way driving and up the hills too but then again my AC is always on so that may play a factor. No I don't leave the AC running while going up hill.

Normal.

My 2010 M3 was always pegged at 210. Almost thought it wasn't working.

My 2011 M3 moves a lot more from just under 210 to halfway between 210 and third dot. Maybe it runs a bit hotter?

Under track conditions temps got higher. I forget how high, but drops quickly after cool down laps.

Looks like 215 or so. If it hits 219, change the rod bearings

Also I recommend sending This photo to black stone for oil analysis

OMG!!! Really?!? I mean, since I took this pic I've made an appointment to replace the throttle actuators, and Johnson Stick, but the rod bearings too?!? And Blackstone -- who're they? do you mean these guys? What do THEY know about cars?!?

http://avalon.law.yale.edu/subject_menus/blackstone.asp

Now I'm sooooo confused! Wait -- you've got a Jerez Black car? Is that from Blackstone? Is the 'Z' silent?!? GAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! Forget it.... I'm selling this car and buying a G50s, they're so much more reliable, and have SUCH better handling! Thanks, Richbot, for the direct and exact suggestions. You're, like, my fuggin' hero, dude!!

You asked the question in the wheels and tires section, what kind of a response were you anticipating?

Temp is so normal. Just means you aren't driving her hard enough
