Pretty accurate list, although I might switch the order a bit. I’m also surprised “excellent fuel mileage” did not make the list. That’s a bit of a joke, but I did an experiment last weekend and set the cruise control at 55mph in 7th gear (DCT obviously) on a back road with no traffic and managed 29 mpg. The drive was between two gas stations 14 miles apart. I topped off before and after, and used a little under 0.5 gallons. I was shocked. I typically average ~14mpg in mixed driving.

29mpg no way in the long run bro! Did 450 miles high way last week at 20mpg. Bit faster, 70-80mph, but still would be impossible for me to reach 29mpg regardless of conditions. Gas stations love me though.

I know. That’s why I was shocked. Previous best was just about 24 mpg on the Florida turnpike between WPB and Miami. It was late at night with light traffic doing ~75-80 mph and not using cruise control. With cruise control set to 55mph, the engine turns at around 2,200 RPMs. For full disclosure, i’m running the evolve stage 2 software with the evolve hfc x-pipe. I was also running a blend of 10 gallons Shell 93 octane (E10) and 6 gallons of Sunoco 260gt.

Hmm... you installed a cylinder cut off with that tune mate, running on 4 only? Good work!

Ps. Running Vpower 99oct myself, should supposely reduce consumption a tad. Yeah, right...

Calculating MPG between 14 miles and 0.5 gallons is pretty laughable. But what the hell, good job!

I'm honestly surprised by the MPG too though. I do a lot of mixed city/highway driving and I average about 230 miles a tank. Not super high, but it is slightly better than my previous e46 M3 and e90 328 before that. I thought the e90 M3 would be much worse.

I don't think I ever got 200 miles on a tank, but I did get better mileage when I first got the car.

There's actually only one reason in 2018 to own an e9X M3.

If you can only have one car to do everything, it's the best overall car ever made, at any price.

MY commute is less than 2 miles to work and some mornings I struggle to get the car to full operating temp, although in the summer here its easier. I get about 7 mpg and I could careless. Car is fantastic in several ways

This.

Great list, I like the split personality point. Many usually want it aggressive all the time, when in reality the ability to shift the firmness or comfort of the car brings multi-purpose functionality for many different driving scenarios, styles and terrains.

Fantastic car that is meant to be driven. Nice to see others enjoying them for the first time.
