Racing seats

What's your opinion on racing seats? Thinking about doing red sparco seats in my e92 (alpine white with black interior) I kinda wish I had fox red interior and this is about as close as I'm gunna get lol. Yay or nay on the racing seats

How would the red seats go with the black interior?

I like the Recaro sportster cs's in black with red suede, wouldn't match fox red but if you have black I think they might look good.

Not worth it IMO, unless you have sliders, have already removed the back seat, are totally comfortable in them, and can still use the stock 3-point belts.

Keep in mind that if you get fixed back seats, it would be very hard to access the rear seats.

For your purpose the best options would be Recaro Sportster, BMW Performance, or an equivalent. Keep in mind that coding/harness modification is required to get the BMWs to work properly. And most racing/aftermarket seats do not have airbags in them.

So it will throw a code or what? More I learn about these seats the more I think it's just another headache

I have the Sparco Corsa. They are more comfortable, IMO, than Recaro. The one function that is nice with the Recaro, is you can tilt the seat back a bit. Course-comfortable with racing seats is relative. Both great quality though.

As far as daily driving, knowing you go to the track twice a year. I personally would stay away from them.

Here is a picture of what they look like with black int. I think I attached photo but not sure.

Good luck
