+1 Some people don't understand that this kit also is catered to the elite, Gintani could care less to market this to haggling forum members

You can pick up used S65s for $10k-$15k if you know where to look. It's a new application, so there are going to be some risks. You just have to be willing to accept some of them, mitigate what you can, and forge ahead.

Car is great, they are always trying new things with it. Last I checked they were going to convert it to DCT once they figured out how to get the tranny to hold the power. They just don't have any interest to update people on here. Anyone that really cares would pick up the phone and call them personally. If you haven't already noticed, all people do on here is try to bash them and discredit their progress with this thread. Not surprised they choose to remain silent

Well said Lucrecio84! This kit wasn't designed to sell to everybody. The ones that care or want it will pickup the phone, not posting here looking for some updates. The reason theres going to be one in NJ/NY.

Seems to be a small group on here that 'bash' every new product.

Why create a thread if you're not going to respond to it? i can understand if someone else created the thread and they didn't care about responding but Charles@Gintani.com is the one that made the thread.

Because when you have people that do nothing but talk crap and look for reasons to make them look bad, it gets to a point where feeding into it all is pointless and a waste of time. Why even continue updating anyone anymore? Go back and scroll through the comments and you'll see for yourself. Like I said earlier, if anyone is really THAT interested in the kit, they'll pick up the phone and speak to them personally or even drive to the shop and find out for themselves

yea and its dumb, all it does is make information less attainable to the ones on here that really do care because it makes the vendor not want to share anything anymore. Too many skeptics on these boards

Hey! I resemble that remark well said sir. I'm strongly interested in the idea of this kit, having experienced an HPF 2.5 M3. As info on availability, reliability, pricing, etc. and the inevitable airstrip attacks start surfacing, the product will speak for itself. Very exciting to hear the kit is about to hit the streets!

perfectly said, this isn't for everyone and either was the HPF kit for the e46. You weren't turboing your car for easily under 35-40g all said and done and look how many of those kits sold.

when the kit hits, whoever is serious will buy it and who ever isn't won't. Its not for everyone.

The car is running a stock motor, it has been pulled apart for dct development and making molds and castings, it has been a slow process as other things have taken priority

Let's be serious. Even HPF did a better job of promoting their kit that Gintani has with their kit. I get that its marketed towards a certain 'clientele' but their communication/promotion has been utterly crap.

At the end of the day, honesty and being straightforward is most important. If they're running into issues, just say so. If they ran into a road block, just say so. If they have everything figured out but production is dragging, just say so. If I were considering a $10-15k turbo kit, honesty and trust with the vendor would be my number one priority. So far, we haven't seen that (in my opinion) and I believe that it will hurt their sales.

I don't think you get it. Gintani doesn't need to market their product when it isn't ready and they don't need to give you the play-by-play as they develop it. Go complain elsewhere.

I agree, however, one would like to know if this is indeed something they are developing or canned. They made a lot of noise about it, then simply dissappeared
