Official 2012 Frozen Silver Owners Club
How about adding a pic and some info on your 1 of 40 2012 Frozen Silver M3's. Let's see if we can get them all accounted for.
Details can include mileage, mods, last four of the vin, 1st owner, 2nd owner etc., paint care tips and tricks, where and when it was purchased and for how much over or under if you are willing to share that info, any propoganda associated with the 2012 FS. The more info the better. The least number of post the better, if you continue to want to post consider an edit to your first post(????) not sure if that is a good idea or not. I'm not sure if this has been done before but it could be fun to round everyone up including the youngster from Texas that I hear wrecked his. BTW, I read that there were 100 released and 40 went to the US, not sure if it's true. Maybe we can all learn something here. Ruebsteak |

I'll be the first to post some details about my ride.
Last five of the vin# 97850 purchased 01/2012 from Boris Said's BMW of Murrieta, CA Mods: Akra evo w/ carbon tips, ESS tune, 20% tint all around upgraded the shoes from 245/275 to 255/285 (looks and handles way better) Got lucky and found it hanging around on AutoTrader Current mileage approx. 15,000 Last edited by Ruebsteak; 05-16-2013 at 05:28 PM.. |

I am Canadian so mine would not be one of the 40 US cars but certainly 1 of the 100. I purchased it from a dealer on the Westcoast and it is currently on a truck being delivered to me. Very happy to be one of the club if you will have me. FYI there was a great article in the December 2012 edition of the British magazine BMW Car about M cars and a short blurb about the Frozen Silver Edition.

I know how you feel as I went through a similar waiting period. Placed an order in January and took delivery last Saturday. In the end, it was the right decision for me to stay with the M3. But I did consider other vehicles in the final 40 days.

if that is the case, at the very least , you know you're not being scammed. 20 weeks from time of order is not unheard of....my order, for example, has taken about 20 weeks. call the 800# or ask your CA again for your vehicle status. if they say it's at the port waiting to get on to a ship, then hit this link... https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...ckSearchResult enter your vin# where it says "cargo id" and that will get you info if your car has made it on to a ship. your CA and the 800# have info that's a little dated, by the time they know it's on a ship...it would've been at see for a few days already. |

Sorry to hear about your situation. If you just have to have a car now and can't wait any longer, then that's a bummer. So if you have to give up the M3, please give or sell your M3 allocation to an enthusiast here.
