Differential carrier/housing

Hey its me again. I have a quick question. Are the regular 3 series differential housing/carrier the same as our e9x m3? I know the lsd are different but i want to know if the housing are the same.

The m3 has a bigger housing due to the bigger gears.

Even the Manual 3.85 diff has a different diff cover as the gears would touch the cover otherwise.

The DCT internals will fit the the Manual carrier and it will take an extra 50ml of oil or something.
