Concours at Hershey
Anybody interested in driving out to Hershey for the Concours d’Elegance June 8 through 10? My wife and I went for the first time last year. I had a ball. Cars and Coffee Saturday. Anybody can show their car. Saw everything from a Porsche GT3 to a ‘73 911S to a 454 Nova. Hill Climb for vintage race cars during the morning and early afternoon. For a $50 donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Association I got a ride on the hill climb course in a ‘72 Porsche 914 stuffed with a 911S motor. Drifting around a right hand turn with nothing but hay bails separating the 914 from the downhill side of the mountain was worth the cost of the whole weekend. Judging takes place on Sunday. Mostly vintage American stuff with a couple of Maseratis, Ferraris and Alfas.

Great Mighty. You can check out last years event if you search Elegance at Hershey 2018. Short story, when I tried to get a seat for the hill climb Saturday morning I was told there would be no spectator rides. Ralph Moreno from Chasing Classic Car’s overheard the conversation. He came over and said he’d try to change some minds. He offered me a ride up the hill in his Porsche 356 over lunch if he was unsuccessful. No need, he got it done.

Hello ard5040,
I see that it is only $10 for a ticket, hoping I get a ride along too. Thanks again for sharing and look forward to the event! Hoping we can get a few M's together. Jason |
