Dinan Lower Control Arm Monoball Kit

Is there any one that has replaced the rubber bushings in the thrust arm with Dinan Lower Control Arm Monoball Kit and is not happy?

I’ve read probably every post on the part and nobody seemed unhappy with them.
Bimmerworld also popular.
Turner has some clunks.

Weird.. I got turner ones and they broke on me after 3 track days. Got Dinan ones and have no issues with them. Happy with them.

I am happy with the Dinan ball join.
More solid than stock, improve front stiffness.

FYI, I am still on stock sway bar (e92)

Has anyone experienced any noise (clicking, squeaking, etc.) on either the Dinans or GAS Monoballs?

You mean they got sent with them installed and you wish to remove them or?

Should be able to pry them out with a thin tool 6" ruler, fine flat bladed screwdriver?

They're a sealed mount so they're the ultimate in terms of reliability.

Most guys I know say no more noise a tiny bit more NVH though. (I had a heap of things changed at the same time with stiffer engine mounts, new clutch and SMF, new coilovers, new rims/tyres so i cant personally provide you with feedback)

Do you have issues with a set thats been installed, or are you seeking feedback prior to purchase?

Thanks. Looking to purchase. Trying to decide if it's worth springing for Dinan over GAS.

no!

they're exactly the same, they both utilise OEM internals with just a unique case for each.

in this scenario GAS is a lot cheaper for essentially the same product

I installed the GAS bushing and it feels better, not great. I was expecting to remove some shake in the steering wheel while driving above 80 but this didn't happen. If it did, it was minimal.

With regards to braking, it feels much better when slamming on the brakes. There's no more shimmy from the front end and so no steering wheel shake when braking. I feel more confident when braking and I appreciate that.

do feel that the car is turning better while on the highway, no mountain carving yet, I feel that the car moves better when switching lanes and it seems dartier. Which is a good thing! When turning into a corner, the car feels stable and rigid. Again, all good things!

The install is easy if you have the right tools. I recommend replacing the bolts and nuts.

Sorry for the late response. No noise whatsoever. It's a good choice; trust me.

Just installed my GAS monoballs. While all the comments above are true, the difference isn't massive. It's just a small difference. Car feels tighter and slightly more responsive. It's definitely stiffer, maybe about 10%. But I did not notice any additional harshness, which is a good thing (and I have bad roads here). Basically it feels like I tightened up my Ohlins dampers one more click.

Hopefully it will last longer than the stock bushings. Otherwise it may not be a worthwhile mod for daily drivers.

How old are your factory bushings when swapping? Wonder if these changes are compared to worn rubber or like-new rubber.
