MDrive and EDC Poll REVISED
Ya, the reason I left off the choice "Neither" is because I fuxked up. Actually I planned to insert it but at the last moment had a brain fart. So let's try this again.

I'll take both assuming MDrive will not be priced over $1k. (And it really shouldn't be given it includes just about no new hardware apart from the button). By the way, how much is it in Europe?

MDrive & EDC prices
From my post in the previous thread, in Germany, MDrive is €437 and EDC is €1,597. That's with an M3 base price of €56,008. If you replace those figures with dollars, you should be in the ballpark for the US. Of course, when you add in Nav, MDrive gets quite a bit more expensive.

The button will still be there even if you don't specify M Drive. It just won't do anything.

I forgot to add that I will take EDC only if the sport setting puts the suspension in passive mode. If the system is in active mode in all 3 settings, that could be annoying, but my understanding is that it won't be.

Okay other poll was closed thankfully. By the way, if MDrive and EDC are such low cost options, what will be "expensive"? I suppose the "executive pkg" with leather etc bundled into it will be alot. Any staunchly Pro-MDrive folks care to weigh in on exactly why it will be such a plus? I understand the whole EDC/PASM deal I believe, but still don't quite understand MDrive, will the car be quicker with MDrive or just more fun to drive or??

i'm curious who voted they would opt INTO m-drive but OUT of EDC? seems pretty counter-intuitive to me.

In the lower two settings, the system probably measures position in real-time, and varies the damping rate accordingly, and altering the spring rate would throw off the calculations as the parameters of the system equation would change. And some people might be interested in replacing the dampers themselves.
