help!! ENGINE sounds soft/ Cannot hear from cabin..
i just switched to a new filter (Active Autowerke BMW) and it was sounding great n noticed a tad difference in performance. After a week or so of driving i didnt drive it for 2 days straight last weekend and now for 3 days straight it seems like the my high revving v8 is like really quiet even when i go into paddle shift mode the down shifts sound quieter ... its almost like no sound is coming into the cabin and i cant hear the engine anymore... anyone have any ideas why my engine and revs sound so soft now or i cant hear it from inside?
I was thinking switch out to my old filter but i think there is something else going on??? couldnt find any threads about my issues, if there is please point me in the right direction or recommendations on a good shop that could help figure this out... thanks! |

Do you have a tune? Probably need to drive it a little and let the computer adapt to the increased air flow... and you can always get a tune and see what that does.

My engine/intake is much louder when it's colder out/low humidity. Could be related to weather changes as well?
Also worth pulling the cover off the intake box and checking to make sure everything is still in place.
