Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson

Did any of you fellows see the BBC news as of late? Jeremy Clarkson seams to be in real trouble this time around ...

To see the news clip you need to Google Jeremy Clarkson and listen to it for yourself, I no longer post links in this forum that would lead anywhere outside this m3post site.

Anyway ... he made a statement in reference to the strike that is going on right now ... saying ... "All strikers should be taken out and shot in front of there families"

Lot's of people are jamming the phones of the BBC.

What do you think ... will the BBC sack Jeremy Clarkson or not ... will he apologize and if so will we see him in future on Top Gear

Didn't vote cause the choices dont cover everything. They will NOT fire him, but they may make him apologize. This is not the US where everyone is mortally offended by the slightest provocation, so probably nothing will happen.

He already did apologize, saying it was a joke.

He has a ownership stake in Top Gear, so if they fire him, I'm sure that there won't be any more top gear (or at least for a little while). That will lead to everybody who works for Top Gear be fired, the BBC will lose the revenue that show produces for them, and more people will be fired. The current Prime Minister has vouched for Clarkson, so I'm pretty sure he will be just fine.

He has apologized, but that is a normal thing, and was very scripted and not heartfelt at all (which is typical).

So if he is always joking and does not mean what he is saying then no one should ever take anything seriously what he has to say about cars? Right it is a comedy show after all LOL

Its an opinion show. Theres not a lot of facts in his show, but it is funny. Tongue in cheek probably describes it best.

I do agree with this totally what you say! I have all the shows (some downloads from iTunes others in CD format) I watch it for the fun of it and like the different challenge episodes the show has.

When I want facts and figures about cars I come here or read the right magazines

PS. I just posted this here since I became aware of this bit of British news

He gets paid the big bucks to say stuff like that and stir things up.

This is the clip where he said it.

LOL, the Brits have lost there humour!!! Everything Clarkson says has a slant of humour & criticism thrown together...he has the balls to say what others won't, the way we see's it.

If he was in the US, someone would already have filed a lawsuit against him.

The problem is that the US has f-ed itself over so bad with political correctness that the media can do anything it wants with you today. The slightest slip up and you are done and it's only a matter of time before this backfires on everyone.

Its not the first time he said someone should be shot...
I recall once in Top Gear he said something about the police should place snipers on the highway overpass, who's driving too slow can be shot in the head.
