2008 E90 M3 6sp. 70k miles; Original Owner, Bearings, T/B. No Nav. Seattle, WA

**UPDATE: Car is sold pending title from WA DOL and final payment.**

Car has 70,300 miles and is currently not being driven.

I am the original owner of this car. I have changed the oil religiously every 5000 miles (I posted one of the first DIY oil changes on this forum!), brake fluid every 24 months, coolant and transmission and differential oils every 48 months. Old school.

The car is Sparkling Graphite Metallic, 6 speed manual, heated seats, sunroof, premium package (power seats, Bluetooth). I did the LCI trunk and rear tail light conversion and upgraded to an Alpine/Focal upgraded audio system. The trunk-mounted subwoofer is a 10-inch JL Audio 6W0 in an enclosure made by MusiCarNW, the high range speakers are Focal and the main amp is an Alpine PDX 5-channel. There is a small Rockford Fosgate amp for the rear speakers.

The car has 3 Stack brand auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, TRUE water temperature, and voltage mounted in a LeatherZ gauge panel that I designed and manufactured. She rides on Eibach springs which are slightly lower than stock, some very small wheel spacers, gloss black original 19 inch forged wheels, and a Supersprint exhaust that sounds great. Car comes with a 3 ring binder with records of every nut and bolt that came off or went into the car. Spark plugs were done by me at 55,000 miles. Throttle actuators and valve cover gaskets are new. I original tried to repair the throttle body actuators with the Odometer Gears repair kit, those failed too, so I went with new units from BMW/FCP Euro in Oct 2017/67k miles. Connecting rod bearings are new and upgraded B/E units and they were installed by Karl Troy at European Road and Racing in Charleston, SC.

The car has been paint-corrected and is coated with Opticoat Pro Plus and the front end is completely wrapped with Expel Ultimate film. Windows tinted with Llumar ceramic tint. There are a lot of very small, subtle OEM+ upgrades (many of them documented on this forum)... like the rear console with dual cigarette lighters, the front seat backs have parcel nets, there is a Z3 parcel net in the passenger footwell, and the trunk has all of the OEM parts for storage and stowage.

In June of 2020 and in the last 300 miles, I changed ALL the fluids and filters, the wiper blades, the belts, and the tensioners. I also replaced the front grills to make it look brand new again.

I am selling because we just moved to Seattle and I cannot fit this car in our garage, and I don t have the heart to park a car of this quality on the street. There is a scratch about 2 inches long on the front passenger door and a small rock chip under the clear film, and I am including pics of those.

Update: I am still waiting for my WA state title and it may be several weeks before I have it. [title is clean and there is no lien holder or issues with it]. I applied to convert the title 6 weeks ago. I tried to switch to a quick title and pay extra this morning, but apparently I cannot do a quick title since the car is from out of state. I do have an Autocheck report for the car and it’s posted here on the Autotrader ad:

https://www.autotrader.com/redirect/...lMBQYCywE2Yrb5

Car is still for sale and available for test drives and even a deposit, but I won’t be able to complete the transaction until I have title in hand. I apologize for this issue. I am currently not driving the car so 5e condition will be unchanged.

The irony of the whole thing is when I originally bought the car, I lived in WA state and it had a WA title!

My god, this is almost exactly how I'm trying to build mine.

If you got time:

Where'd you source the gauges in the pod?

Is that quart of oil holder just a DIY elastic thing?

Can you show a pic of the LCI trunk? They're hard to come by in this color and I'm on the fence of doing the conversion.

Thanks, GLWTS, beautiful car!

Pretty sure I bought the Stack gauges from Summit Racing.

The elastic strap in the trunk is OEM BMW. It's from the luggage package which was not offered on the US.

I bought my LCI parts, including the trunk lid, new from BMW. Did they make Sparkling Graphite in 2009? My trivia is rusty... I thought SG was a 2008-only color.

Awesome, thanks! You're right, Sparkling Graphite was gone before the LCI models, which is a shame IMO.

It would be worth adding to your post subject title that it's a single hump no nav car. That should help generate interest. This car is going to be a great deal for someone!

WOW OP, incredible car. Some really cool little mods in there.
Hope the sale goes through! I'll be in good shape when I list my 70k SG 6spd!

Just curious since there is no date on your update edit: is the car still for sale? If so I'd love to set up a call/facetime/zoom - whatever works best, in the near future. Thanks!
