Question on my 2011 BMW M3 coupe E92 temperature level sensor information have not change, for the pass month the information in IDrive still say OK at 1/2 full even after I added about 1/2 a quart of 10W60 oil to the engine... Any information on the fix to this problem.

That does not mean half full. That is actually perfectly good oil level. The space between min-max is not from 0 to full.

The difference between min and max is around 1 quart. In a car with 9L oil capacity, that's a very small amount. Your reading above is perfectly fine.

M3 Oil level Tempeture read information

The question was, 1/2 a quart of 10W40 was added and the level is still reading what you see on the attachment, the level didn't change. I'm wondering if the problem is with my comfort access key fod, I switch key fod, I notice some settings stored in the M3 key fob #1

You have to reset the oil level via the BC stalk.

M3 Oil level Tempeture read information

R3dliner....OK I reset the oil level via the BC settings, now it's full. I never had to reset with the BC, after a 45 minute drivers it will reset it's self.

Sometimes mine recognizes oil added quickly and sometimes I have to force a reset. Personally I find 1 quarter over min to be the best. My engine ticks when it's higher which drives me crazy.

I learned don't add oil until it tells me to.

Leave it alone. Between low and full is "good operating range."

I almost made the mistake of overfilling. Where it is now is perfect. And no need to replace the oil level sensor, it's just slow to calibrate even after filling 1QT.
